Gianfranco Rocchini, Collector

Rocchini was born in Milan in 1940. After studying medicine for six years, he shifted to biology. He worked many years in the pharmaceutical industry where he was responsible for gynecological projects.

Since his retirement, Rocchini has dedicated himself to the main concerns of his collection: one lies in medical history, another in scientific instruments. In order to share his collection with the public, Rocchini has placed several fine artifacts on display at his homepage

Collections

Our collection contains several subgroups of items donated by doctors, scientists, researchers and institutions. Our intention is to preserve interconnections between the individual objects, document stories of how they came to be, and illustrate the development of projects with the aid of specific items. For this purpose, we have described each donor’s career and his or her collection in detail.
